Childcare Provision

Primary Schools are now required to publish alongside their Performance information a list of their childcare provision making it easier for parents to know what is available.

Greenland Community Primary School offers a range of childcare provision which we have listed below:

Breakfast Club

Our award winning Breakfast Club is open to all children, Monday to Friday from 8am.

With a wide variety of cereals, toast and fruit, we ensure children who join us for breakfast have a healthy, well balanced start to their day.

Breakfast at Greenland isn’t just about the food we serve.  Children are encouraged to see the social element it provides; making new friends and building their confident and social skills.  Mrs Redshaw and Miss McGurk prepare and serve breakfast for the children and are regularly joined by other staff members to start the day in a friendly and relaxed environment.

Joining us for breakfast

A drop-in service is available, no need to book. This is a free service sponsored by Greggs. If you would like your child to join us for breakfast please contact our Main Office to discuss your requirements.

Kelloggs Breakfast Club Winner

In 2015 Breakfast Club founder; Mrs Walker, was crowned Breakfast Club Hero in the national Kellogg’s Breakfast Club of the Year Awards.  Again in 2016 we were shortlisted and received special recognition in the Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle category.  Mrs Redshaw and Miss McGurk have since taken the Breakfast Club from strength to strength.

Special thanks go to Kellogg’s who have continuously supported our Breakfast Club via the provision of cereals and breakfast foods.
